1. 5月25日(土)・26日(日)おいでん祭を開催
OIDEN-SAI, Toyokawa citizen’s festival, will be held on May 25 and 26

The 31th Toyokawa citizen’s festival, called OIDEN-SAI, will be held on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 at the Toyokawa municipal baseball stadium and neighboring area.
There are full of annual events, such as bazaar, food court, flea market and so on, so men and women of all ages can enjoy the festival.
“Yosakoi in Oiden-sai” will be held at the main venue, Toyokawa baseball stadium, is also enjoyable.
There will be “Odoramai” dance contest which the assigned music piece is given to the performer and a genre-straddling dances performed by team or individual.
The donation box for Tohoku and other disaster striken areas will be also placed in the venue.

Eligibility:
Persons who live in Toyokawa and have not done this service in the past.
Expense: Free. But the actual expense for the device is required.
Application: Directly apply to the Disaster Prevention Division or call betwen May 7 and June 14.
Application form is available at the Division, City Branch Offices and City of TOYOKAWA official HP.
Others:
The maximum number of device attachment per household is three and the size of the window glass is up to 4 square meters.
In the case of rental housing, the agreement from the landlord is required.
3. 自動車税の納付をお忘れなく
Car tax payment
Higashi-mikawa prefectural tax office, Higashi-Mikawa Ken-zei Jimusho
The due date of car tax payment is Friday, May 31.
The notification of the tax payment will be sent at the beginning of May to persons who own cars as of April 1.
You can pay the tax with the notification at the Prefectural Tax Office, every financial institutions or convenience stores.
You can also pay by a credit card through the tax payment website.
If you do not receive the notification with reasons of such as the moving and so on, please contact the prefectural tax office.

Eligibility: Junior high school students who have a difficulty of hearing and speaking, and its parents

5. 光化学スモッグにご注意ください
Caution !!! Photochemical Smog
Environmental Division
Gas emission from auto vehicles will generate photochemical smog.
The nitrogen oxide which is included in the emission gas reacts with ultraviolet and generate smog.
This phenomenon occurs with high temperature, strong sunshine and so on.
When the photochemical smog alert is issued, stop outdoor activities and go inside building and close the windows.
The photochemical alert will be issued through Toyokawa City disaster prevention mail and City website.
