Change of One-Coin Cancer Screening
Toyokawa Health Center (Hoken Center)
Toyokawa city supports cancer screening for early detection and treatment. 500 yen / examination (group health screening)
The city discontinues the exemption system who meet the eligibility (age, income etc.), instead of that,
the city encourages the person to have a screening at the group screening at free of charge in 2020.
Please contact to Toyokawa Health Center (Hoken Center) about applying and screening for further information..
Charge: Free for Group Screening, 500 yen / examination for Individual Screening.
Eligibility: Persons who have no opportunity to receive a cancer screening at work and will be eligible age for each medical check-up till March 31, 2021.

Free rental of light truck for garbage transportation
Waste Management Division
Toyokawa city lends light trucks, automatic transmission car, to persons who transport household garbage and resources to the designated city facilities.
The rental is free of charge.
For the application, call Waste Management Division. Bring your driver license to the Waste Management Division when you use the truck.
For the rental on weekends and national holidays, the application is required in advance.

The reports of child abuse to child consultation centers are increasing year by year.
When you face a child who might receive abusing, please do NOT hesitate to contact the following offices.

Consumer Center is available
Consumer Center
The consumer center provides expert advice to people who are facing problems of such as a purchasing, receiving services, multiple consumer loans, and false invoice and so on.
Business Hours: From 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (weekdays)
Please visit the center (located at the North Bldg. 4th floor, City Hall).
Due to spread out of Coronavirus, they accepted only telephone consultation from Monday, April 13.
When consumer counselor find the necessarily of face-to-face consultation, make reservation of the consultation.
Therefore if you want consultation, please call City of Toyokawa – International and Civic Activity Division first.

Collect recyclable garbage
Waste Management Division
Recyclable garbage is collected at the storehouse, eastern side of Toyokawa city hall.
Collection Dates: The second and fourth Sunday of every month, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (except May 24).
Collection Items: Recyclable garbage, such as paper, metal, cans, bottles, plastic bottles, polystyrene packaging plates, used clothing and used vegetable cooking oil.
Hazardous garbage, such as spray cans, lighters, fluorescent tubes, mercury thermometer and batteries are also collectable.
