Please participate in Foreign Residents Questionnaire
Toyokawa City is now conducting to collect opinions from foreign residents whom selected by random sampling to reflect the opinions to the municipal administration.
There will be no violation of your privacy and benefit by answering to the questionnaire, also not necessary to put your name on the questionnaire.
Your answer will be used for statistical processing purpose only.
Please fill-out and post this sheet (sending by the enclosed envelop (no stamp required)) or bring the sheet to the International and Civic Activity Division directly by Monday, February 18, 2019.

Tax filing will start
Toyohashi Tax Office ,
Municipal Tax Division
This is the time for final tax return of income tax, reconstruction special income tax, and municipal tax and prefectural tax.
If you required tax return of national tax, please file for it to Toyohashi Tax Office (TEL: ) at your earliest convenience during the specified period.
Persons who need a final tax return are as follows.
1) Persons whose salary was more than Yen20,000,000 in 2018.
2) Persons who gained salary from one source only, and total amount of various types of income exceeded Yen200,000.
3) Persons who got salary from two or more different workplaces then its total amount of earnings, (A) and (B), were over Yen200,000.
(A) The salary was not made the year-end tax adjustment.
(B) The income (except the salary and the retirement benefit)
4) Persons who got retirement income in 2018, which is exception of withholding.
5) Persons whose total income in 2018 was more than its income tax deduction.
6) Persons who retired from work and did not back to work in 2018.
7) Persons who paid more than certain amount of medical expenses in 2018.
8) Persons who suffered from a disaster or a robbery.
9) Persons who built, bought or renovated a house using a house loan.

Since parking places are crowded during this time, using public transportation is recommended.
When: February 18 ? March 15, 9:00 am ? 5:00 pm
Tax filing takes time, so come to the office earlier than 4:00 pm.
Closed on Saturdays and Sundays, except Sundays on February 24 and March 3.
“My Number” is required for tax filing.
Bring your “Individual Number Card” or “Notification Card” of “My Number”, Residence Card or Driver’s License as your ID.
If you have a family, dependent family members’ “My Number” is also needed.
If you require only municipal or prefectural tax return, Municipal Tax Division (TEL: ) at Toyokawa City Hall is available.
Municipal and prefectural tax return is acceptable for the following persons.
1) Persons who have less than Yen200,000 annual earnings excepting the salary which has already made a year-end adjustment.
2) Persons who have part-time job and its salary was not made a year-end adjustment. Persons who will file for final tax return is exception.
3) Persons who live in Toyokawa and have no income, but only non-taxable income.

Toyohashi Car Inspection and Registration Office
When you buy a car or sell your car, scrap your car, change your address and so on, you need to renewal the vehicle inspection certificate.
March is the month of the end of a fiscal year, the window of the registration and renewal is very busy.
In order to avoid congestion, you are advised to register or renew of the certificate at your earliest covenience. Car inspection is available a month before its validated date.
