Range of subsidy for Child Medical Expense is enlarged to high school 3rd
year student generation
Insurance and Pension Division (Hoken Nenkin Ka)
From April 1, regarding Child Medical Expense Subsidy System, range of subsidy
for outpatient medical expense is enlarged to high school 3rd year student
generation (Until the first March 31 after becoming 18 years old) and self-borne
expense of medical insurance is completely subsidized.
■New Recipient Certificate of Child Medical Expense
High school 1st and 2nd year student generation (Born between April 2, 2006
and April 1, 2008) (Including person who has Recipient Certificate of Mental
Disability Medical Expense (Seishin Shogaisha Iryohi Jukyusha Sho) (Can be used
only for outpatient of mental treatment.).)
Application form for certificate issuance will be mailed in the middle of March. Fill
necessary things in the form, attach a copy of insurance certificate, and send it
back in enclosed return envelope. You can use the recipient certificate from April
1 (Mon.).
Junior high school 3rd year student (Born between April 2, 2008 and April 1,
2009)
It will be mailed in the middle of March. You can use the new recipient certificate
from April 1 (Mon.). Regarding the recipient certificate which you have currently,
please return it to Insurance and Pension Division (Main Bldg. 1F), or respective
branch office from April 1 (Mon.) onward.
Up to junior high school 2nd year student (Born on April 2, 2009 and after)
Recipient certificate with prolonged validity period is mailed in the end of June.
■Person whose recipient certificate does not have any change
New recipient certificate will not be mailed for person who has any of the following
certificates (Recipient Certificate of Medical Expense for Single Parent and Child
Household, Recipient Certificate of Medical Expense for Disabled Person,
Recipient Certificate of Mental Disability Medical Expense (Can be used for all
sickness)). Please use the current recipient certificate from April 1 (Mon.) onward,
too.
2. 日本語教室生徒募集
Japanese Class Student Recruitment
Toyokawa International Association (Kokusai Koryu Kyokai)
Toyokawa International Association holds Japanese classes for those who come
from other countries and want to learn Japanese. Evening classes are divided
according to the level of the students. Day time class is a small class size, and
you decide what you want to learn in consultation with the teacher. We are
currently recruiting students for Japanese classes starting in April.
Date and Hour: Evening Class (Saturdays from April 13 (Sat.) to August 31
(Sat.) (17 times) from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm.) Day time Class (Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, or Thursdays from April 9 (Tue.) to August 29 (Thu.) (17 times
respectively) from 10:30 am to noon) ※1 month or longer absence without leave
results in losing qualification of participant.
Place: Worker’s Community Center (Kinro Fukushi Kaikan)
Eligibility: Principally person aged 16 and older
Fee: 2,000 yen per term (17 times) ※Paid fee is not reimbursable. ※Fee for
textbook is necessary in addition.
Application: Toyokawa International Association (Tel: ※From
8:30 am to 5:15 pm except weekend and holiday) Bring residence card (Zairyu
Card). ※Make sure that applicant in person comes.

School briefing session for infants with developmental disorder in the
2025 school year
School Education Division (Gakko Kyoiku Ka)
Date and Hour: April 19 (Fri.) from 9:30 am to 11:45 am
Venue: Mito Bunka Kaikan
Content: This school briefing session will be conducted for the infants who have
or might have developmental disorder.
Lecturer: Teachers of Toyokawa Special Needs School etc.
Eligibility: Guardians of 4- or 5-year-old child
Application: On the day at the venue
