Students are recruited for Japanese Class
Toyokawa International Association (Toyokawa Shi Kokusai Koryu Kyokai)
At Toyokawa International Association, Japanese class is held for persons from
abroad who wants to learn Japanese. Evening class consists of classes based on
student’s level. Day time class provides lessons with small number of students,
and students consult teachers about what they want to learn. Currently, students
are recruited for Japanese class which starts from April.
Date and Hour: Evening Class (Saturdays from April 8 (Sat.) to August 19 (Sat.)
(18 times) from 7:45 pm to 9:00 pm.) Day time Class (Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
or Thursdays from April 11 (Tue.) to August 31 (Thu.) (18 times respectively)
from 10:30 am to noon) ※1 month or longer absence without leave results in
losing qualification of participant.
Place: Worker’s Community Center (Kinro Fukushi Kaikan)
Eligibility: Principally person aged 16 and older
Fee: 2,000 yen per term (18 times) ※Paid fee is not reimbursable. ※Fee for
textbook is necessary in addition.
Application: Toyokawa International Association (Tel ※From
8:30 am to 5:15 pm except weekend and holiday) Bring residence card (Zairyu
Card). ※Make sure that applicant in person comes.
5. ごみの分別方法変更
There are some changes with garbage separation rules
Waste Management Division (Seiso Jigyo Ka)
From April 1 (Sat.), garbage separation rules will be changed as follows. Your
cooperation is asked.
■Cosmetic bottles
The classification is changed from Non-burnable Garbage to Recyclable. Since we
are in the transition period, even if cosmetic bottles are disposed as Non-burnable
Garbage, they are collected until March 31, 2024.
■Rechargeable batteries・Button batteries
They are collected as Hazardous Garbage. As usual, they can be taken to stores
cooperating for recycling, or stores cooperating for collection such as sales
stores etc. (Batteries of automobile etc. are not eligible.)
6. 令和5年度から市税の納付方法が変わります
Payment methods of municipal tax are changed from the fiscal year 2023
Municipal Tax Collection Division (Shuno Ka)
Payment notifications of municipal tax issued from April can be used for
respective electronic payment or payment at the window of eligible financial
institutions nationwide. Eligibility etc. is as follows. Payment by bank account
transfer・Payment at convenience store are also available as before.
Eligibility: Municipal Resident Tax・Prefectural Resident Tax (Ordinary collection),
Real Estate Tax・City Planning Tax, and Light Vehicle Tax (Type-based imposition)
Available electronic payment method: Payment by credit card, payment by
smartphone, payment by internet banking etc.
Others: Communication fee necessary for payment procedures is to be covered
by the user. Payment by credit card requires service charge. For details, see City
HP.

Prio Service Center is available to issue certificates

When you need a certificate on weekend or national holiday, Prio Service Center,
5F Prio Bldg., is available. Please feel free to use the service.
Office hour: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
(Except Prio’s day off, temporary closure, and the Year-End and New Year
Holidays)
Content of the service:
1) Certificate issuance (Resident Certification 〈Jyumin Hyo〉, Seal Registration
Certification 〈Inkan Toroku Shomeisho〉, Tax Certification〈Zei Shomeisho〉
etc.)
2) Payment of resident tax, real estate tax, National Health Insurance premium
and the Late-stage Medical Care Insurance for the Elderly premium etc.
3) Payment of the fee for nursery school, after school Jido Club
4) Payment of rent for Municipal Housing (Shiei Jutaku)
5) Payment of water service fee
6) Vending Bulky Garbage Sticker etc.
