Regional Physical Checkup (in autumn)

Period/Hour/Venue: See City HP or contact Health Center (Hoken Center).
Eligibility:
1. Person born between April 1, 1983 and April 1, 2007 who has no chance of
2. medical checkup at school/work place.
3. Insured person of the National Health Insurance or the late-stage medical care
4. system for the elderly who has a medical coupon.
3.Person whose household is on welfare.
4.Person who requires only tuberculosis or lung cancer screening must be born
on April 1, 2007 and before.
Items to examine:
Medical consultation, blood pressure, physical examination (Measuring height
and weight), urine and blood examination, tuberculosis examination and lung
cancer screening (Thoracic X-ray examination. Sputum examination (phlegm
test) may be conducted when necessary).
Fee: Free of charge. However, in case of taking the same examination in the
fiscal year again, the person may be requested to pay the whole expense.
Capacity: 60 persons (65 persons at Hoken Center, Mito Fukushi Hoken Center,
Kozakai Kifukan, Ikamaikan and Sakuragaoka Museum)
Application: From Wednesday, September 7, on City HP (First come, first
served.). Applications can be accepted at the venue on the checkup day.
Others: Since respective venues get crowded on the first day, other days are
recommended for visiting.

Elder Care and Nursing Division (Kaigo Korei Ka)
Abusing elderly persons has been a serious matter in the rapid aging society.
There are various reasons such as anxiety and fatigue over nursing, human
relations between the elderly and nursing persons, lack of understanding of
psychological state of the elderly and the sickness (Senile dementia), and
financial problems etc. Those who are on the nursing side should not keep
concerns and burden alone. Please come to Senior Citizen’s Consultation Center
of the municipality and community. Please also report to the responsible booth if
you think there might be abusing around you.
