Toyokawa International Association
Toyokawa International Association holds Japanese language class for persons
from other countries who wish to learn Japanese. Evening Course has classes
based on the student’s level. Daytime Course is held with small number of
students in a class where students consult teachers about what they want to
learn. Applications are currently accepted for the classes starting from April.
When: Evening Course =Saturdays from April 2 to August 6 (18 times). 7:45
pm ? 9:00 pm. Daytime Course=Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from
April 5 to August 24 (18 times for classes held on respective days). 10:30 am ?
noon. ※If absence without leave continues more than a month, the person will
lose attendance qualification.
Place: Kinro Fukushi Kaikan (Worker’s Community Center)
Eligibility: Person aged 16 years and older, principally
Fee: 2,000 yen for 1 term (18 times). ※Paid fee is not reimbursable. ※Text fee
is required in addition to the lesson fee.
Application: At Toyokawa International Association. Please bring residence card
(Zairyu Card). ※Make sure that the applicant comes in person.

Changing the way to put PET bottles for recycling
Waste Management Division
When putting PET bottles for recycling, caps are removed, bottles are washed
well and crashed. From Friday April 1, for higher quality recycling, removing
labels are also requested in addition to current rules. Please put caps and labels
for burnable garbage.
6.特定健診・後期高齢者医療健診受診券を送付
Medical coupons for special health examinations and health
examinations of the Late-stage Medical Care System for the Elderly, will
be delivered
Insurance and Pension Division
Medical coupons for the 2022 fiscal year will be delivered in the late April. Persons,
aged 40 or over who are insured by National Health Insurance, can have special
health examinations with the coupons. Eligible persons for the Late-stage Medical
Care System for the Elderly can have health examinations as well. The coupons
are valid until Friday, February 10, 2023. On the day of the health examinations,
persons who are not joining National Health Insurance or without certification of
the Late-stage Medical Care System for the Elderly, cannot have the health
examinations. For details such as how to take health examinations etc., please
read the enclosed guide.
7.軽自動車税(種別割)の減免申請
Exemption and reduction of Light Vehicle Tax (Kei car under 660CC,
Type-based imposition)
Municipal Tax Division
Light Vehicle Tax (Type-based imposition) is exempted or reduced in certain cases.
Person who newly receives exemption, or reduction, please come to Municipal
Tax Division for application by May 31 (Tue.). If you received exemption or
reduction in 2021 fiscal year, send back the document issued for “Kei car tax
report and application form for Kei car tax exemption or reduction” (Genkyo
Houkoku Sho and Genmen Shinsei Sho) which was mailed at the end of March.
The eligible cases are as follows.
■The Kei car that a disabled person owns: (Admitted only one car per person.)
For a person, physically, intellectually, or mentally disabled. Some cases may not
meet the eligibility depending on type or degree of the disability. Persons who
receive exemption or reduction of automobile tax (Type-based imposition,
standard-sized car) or welfare taxi subsidy (Except welfare taxi subsidy for
severely disabled person) in 2022 fiscal year are excluded.
Necessary documents: Bring following things to the Municipal Tax Division.
? Vehicle inspection certificate (Shaken Shou) ?Driver’s license ?Physical
Disability Certificate (Shintai Shougaisha Techo), Rehabilitatin Certificate
(Ryouiku Techo), or Mental Disability Certificate (Seishin Shougaisha Hoken
Fukushi Techo) ?Things which indicate My number of taxpayer ?Certification of
the Same Livelihood (Seikei Douitsu Shoumei Sho) (In case that the household
of the driver and that of the disabled person etc. are different.)
■The car remodeled to use for a physically disabled person:
Kei car which has an elevating device for wheelchair and so on
Necessary documents: ?Vehicle inspection certificate (Shaken Shou) ?

number and how the car was remodeled
