Abusing elderly persons has been a serious matter in the rapid aging society.
There are various reasons such as anxiety and fatigue over nursing, human
relations between the elderly and nursing persons, lack of understanding of
psychological state of the elderly and the sickness (Senile dementia), and
financial problems etc. Those who are on the nursing side should not keep
concerns and burden alone. Please come to Senior Citizen’s Consultation Center
of the municipality and community. Please also report to the responsible booth if
you think there might be abusing around you.

Be careful with cleaning service of drainage pipes
Sewage Management Division
Dealers may come to your house for recommending their inspection and cleaning
service of drainage pipes with leaflets and talks. This kind of inspection and
cleaning service is not requested by the city hall. If you find it suspicious, please
contact Sewage Management Division.

When you drain sewage, please be aware of the following points. ?Do not drain
oils. ?Sort out garbage and leftover for burnable garbage. ?Do not flash things
other than toilet paper in toilet. etc.

Citizen’s Activity for Town Security in Autumn
Human rights, Crime-Prevention and Public Transportation Division
From September 21 to October 20, an activity is held which is called “Citizen’s
Activity for Town Security in Autumn”. During the period, reinforced patrol etc. is
carried out in coordination of Toyokawa city and relevant organizations. It is
important that each person follows traffic rules and has enhanced awareness of
crime prevention. Let’s try to keep away traffic accidents and crimes.

From September 20 to 26 is “Animal Protection Week”. Let’s have further
understanding of animal protection and its appropriate rearing. Owners should
also keep animals with correct comprehension of animal’s natural characteristics
and infectious disease.
■For both dogs and cats
Please keep license tag or name tag on your pets for indication of the owner.
■Abandoning and bullying pets
Abandoning and bullying pets are crimes. You are requested to keep your pet till
the end with responsibility. If you see a person bullying or abandoning its pet,
please report to Toyokawa Police Department .
■About stray dogs and cats
Aichi Prefectural Animal Protection Center and Aichi Prefectural Police are offering
information about stray dogs and cats on their Home Page. If you find your dog
and cat gone, please confirm the information.
