Exemption of National Pension Premium
Insurance and Pension Division
Application for the exemption of National Pension Premium starts on Thursday,
July 1. For filing this exemption, income of the previous year for all the members
in the household is examined. Bring pension handbook (NENKIN TECHO) to the
Insurance and Pension Division (Main Bldg. 1F) or Branch Offices and file it.
For a person who left its job after December 31, 2019, needs to bring leave-
notice for the payment of employment insurance benefits (KOYOU HOKEN
HIHOKENSHA RISHOKU HYO) or the recipient qualification of employment
insurance (KOYOU HOKEN JUKYU SHIKAKUSHA SHO) to file it.

Reduction in Medical Expenses
Insurance and Pension Division
When you spend high medical expenses in a month, you can get the reduction
and your maximum payment amount is up to the ceiling amount of self-borne
expense. In the case, you need to show the certificate of the ceiling amount
regarding personally borne medical expenses, GENDOGAKU TEKIYO NINTEISHO.
If the household (All members including householder) is exempted for resident
tax, the meals expenses of the hospitalized period is also reduced.
For filing for this system, send the application form by post with a copy of National
Health Insurance Certification to Insurance and Pension Division. Application form
can be downloaded from city HP. You can also bring your National Health
Insurance Certification and the certificate of the individual number to the
Insurance and Pension Division (Main Bldg. 1F).
Branch offices are also available.
9.後期高齢者医療制度について
The Late-stage Medical Care System for Elderly

・Renewal of the insurance certificate:
The insurance certificate, the orage one, will be valid until Saturday, July 31. The
new certificate, the green one, will be mailed by recorded delivery at the middle
of July.
・How to handle the old certificate:
Bring the old insurance certificate to Insurance and Pension Division (Main Bldg.
1F), branch offices or Prio Service Center after August. Or cut it up and throw it
away to prevent the personal information leaking. The premium will be calculated
individually based on the previous annual income (January ? December, 2020).
The calculation method are two types. One is to calculate equally among insured
person, another is to calculate based on insured person’s annual income.
10.国民健康保険高齢受給者証の更新
Renewal of Recipient Certification of National Health Insurance for
Elderly
Insurance and Pension Division
Toyokawa City issues the recipient certification of national health insurance for
elderly for persons aged between 70 and 75.
The certification is renewed on August 1 every year. A new certification, cream
one, will be mailed in the end of July. When you go to a medical facility, please
show it with your National Health Insurance Certification.
For an old recipient certification, white one, bring it to Insurance and Pension
Division (Main Bldg. 1F), branch offices, or Prio Service Center. If not, cut it up
and throw it away to prevent personal information leaking.
11.児童福祉各種手当
Child Allowances
Child Rearing Support Division
For a single parent child, caused by divorce or death, or a child whose parent,
either its father or mother is with heavy disabilities, there are some kind of
allowances. These allowances support to bring up the child until the end of the
fiscal year in which the child becomes 18 years old. The allowances are Child
Rearing Allowance (JIDOFUYO-TEATE), Prefectural Orphan Allowance (KEN IJI-
TEATE) and City Orphan Allowance (SHI IJI-TEATE) (There are income regulations
for respective allowances.).
However, if the child is adopted as a foster child or is in the child welfare facilities,
the allowances might not be provided.

Prio Service Center
Due to system maintenance, Prio Service Center is temporarily closed on
Saturday, August 7. All the services such as issuance of Resident Certification
and Family Register are not available on the day.
